SanAir Technologies Laboratory, Inc. is a diversified environmental testing laboratory holding company.
We are committed to providing a high standard of performance and service, reliable quality and maintaining well-balanced working relationships with all our clients. Our combined laboratories represent a total of approximately 90 employees in Virginia, Ohio and New York.
Based in Richmond, Virginia, SanAir’s specialties have grown to include analytical and consulting services to detect and identify asbestos, lead and metals, environmental microbiology, bacteria, Legionella and other environmental hazards. SanAir’s clientele includes industrial hygienists, engineers, governments and restoration and remediation contractors.
Centek Laboratories and SanAir Technologies Laboratory combined on January 1, 2022.
Centek Laboratories was founded in Syracuse, New York, in May 2003. Using advanced GC/MS and cryo-focusing technologies, Centek routinely analyzes VOC samples at extremely low detection levels, including parts per billion and parts per trillion.
New York State has long been a leader in soil vapor intrusion regulation. Centek aligned its analytical procedures and detection limits with New York State Department of Health guidelines to ensure accurate, reliable results across a wide range of sample matrices. These guidelines are among the most conservative in the country, setting rigorous standards for both detection limits and action levels.
As the guidance has evolved, Centek has played a role in supporting its practical application, helping balance public health protection with real-world implementation and the highest standards of analytical integrity.
