SanAir’s Specialty Environmental Testing division includes Industrial Hygiene (IH) and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) project specialists who help clients from initial surveys through certification of completion. Our specialty sampling system features canisters designed for rapid sampling in industrial settings.
IAQ and IH specialists face special challenges in the execution of their mandates to ensure the air inside buildings, structures, and enclosed workspaces meets National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance guidelines. The necessity to evaluate conditions quickly and comprehensively, with minimum disruption, is paramount.
SanAir’s customized canisters offer a rapid sampling solution for industrial settings, requiring no tools or power, thus allowing for setup in under a minute. The evacuated sampling canister can capture samples in as little as four seconds, regardless of the concentration or type of compound. Our approach accords with EPA TO15 Guidance (OSHA PV2120) methodology, eliminating the need for traditional, less sustainable sampling methods such as badges, tubes, and pumps. SanAir (LAP-182993) is accredited by the AIHA Laboratory Accreditation Programs in the accreditation program to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 international standard for “Unique Scope” Fields of Testing for EPA TO15 as documented by the Scope of Accreditation Certificate and associated Scope.

Health Impacts
IAQ monitoring helps employers identify and mitigate sources of poor IAQ, such as chemical emissions from industrial processes, Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) exposure from soil vapor intrusion, and “sick building syndrome” from inadequate ventilation/air circulation.
Analytical Services
SanAir’s sampling technology supports IAQ and IH professionals conducting Short-Term Exposure Limit (STEL) and Time-Weighted Average (TWA) monitoring, as it facilitates worker assessment over periods ranging from one to ten hours without the burden of heavy equipment. Additionally, short-term exposure assessments can be conducted for durations of up to 15 minutes.
Our universal sampling system delivers both quantitative and qualitative data for a wide range of VOCs and fixed gases, with detection capabilities spanning from 0.15 ppbv to the percent range.
Importantly, all of our equipment is based on sustainable technology, producing zero hazardous or municipal waste, in contrast to conventional tubes and badges.
